Upcoming Events
General meetings are held throughout the year at a time and place previously advertised in Timberline and local media. During the winter months, meetings are usually held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, at 10:30 a.m. This allows people from out-of-town to an opportunity to attend a meeting then use our reference library on the same day. In the months with better travelling weather, meetings are usually held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.
Most meetings are held in our reference library which is located in the Masonic Lodge, corner of Dickson and Maple, Pembroke (map). Entrance to the parking lot and building are off Maple Avenue. Our library is on the lower level, about 8 steps down.
We like to move our general meetings around the valley, visiting local museums, etc. Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings and/or participate in any of our special events.
The UOVGG Annual General Meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday of May, 7 p.m.

- Lesley Anderson - presenter
- Since May 2007, Lesley has worked with Ancestry supporting the local Ancestry.ca team. Lesley is much in demand as a speaker at seminars and conferences. She also teaches family history classes and consults privately.
LDS Family History Centres and FamilySearch.org - Shirley-Ann Pyefinch - presenter
- Shirley-Ann has served since 2005 as the Director for the Ottawa Stake Family History Centre of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has lectured at various societies, and conferences. She teaches family history classes, preservation workshops, and is an Information Management Specialist for the Government of Canada.
There will be opportunities to ask questions after each presentation.
